Recent events in the news have highlighted water conditions in several locations across this country, including areas in our region. During the recent New York State legislation session, a bill was passed specifically pertaining to water testing in school districts. Water testing has been completed in all three buildings and the results have been posted to our website for each building. More information is available here.

Two General Brown students recently received recognition from the New York State School Music Association for their outstanding performances and perfect scores on their solos last spring. Collin Vodicka was selected as a bass alternate, and Meganne Brenon was selected to sing soprano in the Conference All State Chorus on Sunday, December 4th. Meganne will be attending many rigorous rehearsals and performing in the concert this weekend over the course of four days in Rochester NY. Congratulations to our fantastic General Brown Lions!

The General Brown Central School District is proud to be one of the recipients of the 2016 DoDEA (Department of Defense Education Act) grants. This $250,000 grant will be used to provide professional development and technology to the staff and students of both Dexter and Brownville-Glen Park Elementary to promote student learning in the area of English Language Arts. The grant period spans until the year 2021. We are both excited and proud to be partnering with DoDEA to provide quality student learning for both our military and non-military dependent students.
