Toys For Tots
Students from the National Honor Society, Key Club, and Student Council teamed up to collect over 90 toys to be donated this holiday season.  Thank you to everyone who donated.
  Students from The Key Club and Student Council collected over 1,400 canned goods to be donated to local families in need.
Brownville-Glen Park Elementary students learned about 19th century Christmas celebrations on a trip to the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site.  Click the link above to read all about it in an article featured in the Watertown Daily Times.
8th graders got a taste of the real world on Friday, October 28th in a hands-on simulation called Mad City Money.  Students were given a occupation, salary, spouse, and debt.  The 8th graders learned how to balance all of this in a budget well also spending their money in a mall of "wants".  Click the link above for pictures and more information.

    The General Brown Central School District will hold its Annual Budget vote and Board of Education election on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from noon to 9:00 p.m.  Board of Education vacancies exist for two (2) 3-year terms, currently held by Mrs. Cathy Pitkin and Mr. Michael Ward

  • Memorial Wall

    The General Brown Central School District is currently accepting nominations for the Memorial Wall. The purpose of this memorial is to recognize those individuals who have given their lives in service to the General Brown community. Click Here for more information and a nomination form.

  • Lead Testing

    Recent events in the news have highlighted water conditions in several locations across this country, including areas in our region. During the recent New York State legislation session, a bill was passed specifically pertaining to water testing in school districts. Water testing has been completed in all three buildings and the results have been posted to our website for each building. More information is available here.

  • Backpack Program

    Did you know that the backpack program is available at the Jr. Sr. High school? This program is a way to assist families by providing everyday meal items to help when kids are not in school. Backpacks are given out by Friday every week. There are no complicated forms to fill out just a quick phone call or email to Kammy Brown Hanlin and you are all set to go. Need more information?   • Department of Defense Education Act Grant

    The General Brown Central School District is proud to be one of the recipients of the 2016 DoDEA (Department of Defense Education Act) grants. This $250,000 grant will be used to provide professional development and technology to the staff and students of both Dexter and Brownville-Glen Park Elementary to promote student learning in the area of English Language Arts. The grant period spans until the year 2021. We are both excited and proud to be partnering with DoDEA to provide quality student learning for both our military and non-military dependent students.
